Most of our planet is covered in salty blue water!
The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean on Earth, stretching between the Americas on one side and Asia and Australia on the other. It is so enormous that it covers more surface area than all the continents on the planet combined, with room left over.
The Indian Ocean and Arctic Ocean are both real oceans, but each one is much smaller than the Pacific, so neither can claim the title of biggest.
The Pacific is also the deepest ocean, home to the Mariana Trench, where the seafloor drops down deeper than Mount Everest is tall.
