A battery is the invention that stores electricity inside a small case until you need it. Chemicals inside the battery react in a controlled way to push electric charge out through its metal ends, powering anything it's connected to, whether that's a toy car's motor or a flashlight's little bulb.
A pillow and a ladder don't store or move electricity at all — a pillow is for resting your head and a ladder helps you climb up high, neither has anything to do with powering devices.
Some batteries can be recharged hundreds of times by running the chemical reaction in reverse with an electric current, which is why phones, laptops, and electric cars use rechargeable batteries instead of throwing away a fresh one every time power runs low.
