Researchers grow these pea-sized structures to study disease development, test drug effects, and explore early brain development without experimenting on a living brain.

Neural fossils isn't a real term; fossils are preserved ancient remains, unrelated to actively growing lab tissue. Synthetic neurons printed in metal sounds like robotics, not the biological tissue organoids actually are.
