You have two of these on the sides of your head, and they let you hear music, laughter, and your friends calling your name.
Ears catch sound waves traveling through the air and funnel them inward, where tiny parts vibrate and turn those vibrations into signals your brain can understand as music, voices, or any other sound. Having two ears, one on each side of your head, also helps you figure out which direction a sound is coming from.
Elbows let your arms bend and knees let your legs bend, but neither one has any way to sense sound, since hearing only happens through the specialized parts inside your ears.
Some animals, like elephants, can even feel very low sounds through their feet, picking up rumbles traveling through the ground in addition to what their ears hear.
