The car can later recharge when electricity is cheaper or more abundant, effectively letting the vehicle act like a flexible, distributed energy storage unit that benefits both the owner and the broader power system.

Driving itself to the nearest charger would describe an autonomous driving feature, unrelated to sending electricity back into the grid. Charging twice as fast in cold weather is also unrelated, since V2G is about the direction power flows, not charging speed or temperature performance.

If enough EVs participate in V2G programs simultaneously, an entire fleet of parked cars could function like a giant, distributed backup battery for the grid, potentially helping stabilize supply during demand spikes or outages.
